A mile away is Kapalua, home to three championship golf courses. The Plantation Course hosts the opening event of the PGA Tour each year, the Mercedes Championship. The Bay Course has striking ocean vistas and the legendary, par-3 5th hole, places your approach shot over the aquamarine Pacific. The third course at Kapalua, the Village Course, offers play in the West Maui foothills and provides a challenge for even the most-experienced golfer. Kapalua does not participate in golf programs that offer discounts.

Kaanapali, just a few minutes south, features two picture-perfect courses. The championship North Course was the longtime home to the PGA tour's Kaanapali Classic for many years and offers oceanside and hillside play. The resort South Course offers lush fairways with ocean and mountain vistas reaching from the tees to the greens.
